Wing eaters fall into one of two categories: drummy or flapper. In our house, it works out perfectly because I fall squarely in Camp Drummy. My husband is a Flapper Guy, though if there’s an extra drummy or two, he won’t let them escape. I love sweet-spicy wings and the inspiration for these Grilled Spicy Chicken Wings came from extra bottles of Jack Daniels I found one day at home. We don’t drink JD, but my daughter created a recipe a while back for Jack Daniels Brownies that she sometimes makes at our house ~ moist, fudgy brownies with a salted caramel drizzle ~ and the bottles ended up being left behind. It’s literally impossible to stop at one of these brownies! I keep “encouraging” her to guest blog this recipe ~ maybe a little nudge from you would help. I have no shame…

I get excited when the weather finally turns like it did a few months ago – translation – grilling without boots and a coat — and because not only do I love grilled food, but I also dislike doing dishes so much, that I’ve made it my personal mission to cook as many meals as possible outside on the grill. Do you go to ridiculous lengths to get out of doing dishes, too? Don’t get me wrong ~ I haven’t gone all paper products on you and put the dishwasher out to pasture. But multiple pots and pans ~ ugh ~ I can definitely do without, especially when the sun is out, the temps are up and friends are stopping by! Grilled Flank Steak and Roasted Corn Salsa is made completely without any pots, pans or skillets leaving more time to enjoy a cold Heineken, catch up with friends, share a few laughs and some good food. Isn’t that what this gorgeous summer weather is all about?
With Father’s Day coming, it dawned on me that most men I know love meat ~ especially if that meat has a bone it. Think chicken wings ~ and T-bone steaks. I don’t have proof, but I’m convinced it goes back to their caveman days. So today I have a recipe for bone-in Grilled Pork Chops with a homemade glaze the whole family will love. It’s really easy, but no one needs to know that and it’ll have you shining like a grilling rock star.
What’s not to love about a tasty appetizer served in a neat little cup. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they disappear so quickly! Appetizers are my favorite way to eat. Not only are these Grilled Spicy Shrimp Cups with Pineapple Aioli mouth-wateringly delicious, but there’s no messy look to them like you may see with a layered dip after the second or third dipper ~ broken chips ~ pooled liquid. Grilled Spicy Shrimp Cups with Pineapple Aioli are fast to make and with this easy to follow recipe, you’ll be munching in no time. Spicy shrimp topped with sweet-tangy pineapple aioli all nestled in scooped tortilla chips.
