With almost zero effort you’ll be digging into a warm biscuit in just 8 minutes. Perfectly cooked, golden outside, light and fluffy inside – air frying is the ideal way to make these biscuits.
This simple recipe in your air fryer bakes biscuits in half the time of oven-baked. Slather with butter and your favorite jam, layer for a hearty breakfast sandwich or serve alongside your favorite dinner.
Air fryer refrigerated biscuits may be one of the simplest recipes you can make in your air fryer. Spray the basket, add the biscuits and turn it on. That’s it!
They’re ideal for an easy, hearty breakfast – think back to school time – and are a welcome treat at dinner too.
WHY SHOULD I AIR FRY BISCUITS?
- You won’t heat up the house air frying biscuits.
- Air fried biscuits are lightly crisp outside while still fluffy inside because the hot air circulates around them cooking them perfectly every time.
- Air fryer biscuits cook in half the time of oven baked.
WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE AIR FRYER BISCUITS?
- 1 package refrigerated jumbo biscuits
- cooking spray
NOTE: smaller biscuits can be air fried in the same way – adjust the cook time accordingly.
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER BISCUITS:
Set the air fryer to 330° (no preheating needed) then lightly spray the air fryer basket.
Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single layer leaving space between so the hot air can circulate and cook the biscuits evenly.
Air fry for 6 minutes then turn the biscuits over and continue air frying another 2 minutes. Remove the biscuits from the air fryer and enjoy right away.
NOTE: cook time will vary with air fryers and the size of the biscuits so watch closely the first time.
WHAT TO DO WITH LEFTOVER BISCUITS:
Store any leftover biscuits in an airtight container or cling wrap in the refrigerator. They can be reheated the next day on the air fryer ‘reheat’ setting or microwave.
Did you know you can make just one or two biscuits at a time and freeze the rest? It’s true! Separate the raw biscuits then lay them flat on a baking sheet so they don’t stick together.
Once they’re frozen solid, transfer them to a freezer bag and store in the freezer up to 2 months.
WHAT KIND OF BISCUITS ARE BEST?
Any of the canned refrigerated biscuits found in grocery stores work well including the store brand/generic.
My favorite are the fluffy Pillsbury Grands Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits. Flaky Pillsbury biscuits are delicious too and air fry the same way.
If you’re using smaller biscuits just adjust the cook time.
