These Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon Bites are the easiest way to get a healthy meal on the table quickly using simple ingredients found in most grocery stores.

Here’s another reason to love air fryers! Perfectly cooked salmon in a snap every time.

WHAT’S IN AIR FRYER TERIYAKI SALMON BITES:

1 pound fresh salmon fillets

Homemade Teriyaki Marinade/Glaze:

  • teriyaki sauce (not glaze)
  • soy sauce
  • apple cider vinegar
  • olive oil
  • light brown sugar packed
  • garlic powder
  • ground ginger
  • cornstarch
  • cooking spray

Optional Garnishes:

  • sesame seeds
  • green onions
  • slivered bell peppers

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER TERIYAKI SALMON BITES:

In a shallow dish, whisk the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder and ground ginger until combined and the sugar is dissolved.

Transfer 1/3 cup of this marinade mixture to a small saucepan (this will be your glaze).

Remove skin from salmon then cut salmon into bite-sized pieces (about 1″ squares).

Add salmon cubes to the marinade, turning to coat. Marinate 15-20 minutes (not longer than 20 minutes).

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees then lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Add salmon bites one at a time to the air fryer in a single layer (shaking gently to remove excess marinade).

Air fry salmon 4-5 minutes or until cooked through to an internal temp of 145° on an instant read thermometer and lightly browned (turn halfway through cooking time).

NOTE: cooking time will vary with the exact size of the salmon bites.

To make the glaze, while the salmon is cooking bring the marinade in the saucepan to a boil then reduce the heat to low.

In a small bowl whisk the cornstarch and water together then add to the marinade stirring over low heat until it’s combined and thickened. If it’s too thick, another tablespoon of water or to your desired consistency.

Remove cooked salmon bites from the air fryer and drizzle the homemade sauce over the top of the salmon. Serve with rice and your favorite vegetables -or- with toothpicks as a lighter, healthier appetizer.
