Caramel Apple Pomegranate Mimosa ~ fresh apple cider blended with caramel vodka and pomegranate juice, topped off with champagne in a caramel-sugar rimmed glass.
The hardest part about hosting a holiday dinner is deciding on a signature cocktail. I’m kidding!
My hat is off to all the heavy lifters planning, shopping and cooking a meal that disappears in minutes.
Friends, life just ain’t fair, but I have you covered with a delicious, simple adult beverage that’ll get the party started. Caramel flavored vodka, fresh apple cider and pomegranate juice topped off with champagne in a sugary, caramel rimmed flute.
If all that sounds good, it tastes even better and makes the ideal celebratory cocktail for the holidays, Sunday brunch or, hey . . . just a very long Monday.
Lest you think this adult treat is super sweet ~ it’s not. The tangy apple cider, pomegranate juice, caramel vodka and champagne are carefully balanced with the sweetly rimmed glass. The cocktail of the season is easy to make and even easier to drink.
Thanksgiving and Football:
In our family, Thanksgiving Day begins with football and the Lions on home turf. While some think of them as their beloved Lions, others sometimes describe them with adjectives better left for another forum.
Either way it’s tradition. Some like actually watching the game while others (ahem, you know who you are) are strictly there for the football food but hey, no judgement here. There’s plenty of over the top delicious food for all.
Naturally, the cocktail should rival the food which brings me back to the signature cocktail. These Caramel Apple Pomegranate Mimosas are first string. No one would ever confuse them with a hail mary pass and since that’s about the extent of my football jargon, we’ll move on.
This sweet-tangy blend topped with a little bobbly and capped off with a caramel-sugar rimmed glass has festivities written all over it. It’s the ideal adult beverage to kick off the holiday and is sure to become a tradition, just like the football game.

HOW TO MAKE CARAMEL APPLE POMEGRANATE MIMOSAS:
Be sure to sure out the video below to see how this cocktail is made!
Pour the caramel sauce and sugar into two separate containers large enough to dip the mouth of the glass in.
Dip the rim of the glass or flute into the caramel sauce then directly into the sugar, pressing gently. If you’re garnishing the cocktail with pomegranate seeds, add 8-10 of them into the glass now.
Next carefully pour a one ounce shot each of vodka, apple cider and pomegranate juice into the flute without disturbing the sugar. Top off with champagne and enjoy right away!
TIP: If you’re making multiples, blend the vodka, cider and pomegranate juice ahead of time and refrigerate. Rim the glasses with caramel and sugar and top with champagne right before serving.
Cheers!
