Greek Salad Dressing recipe for all kinds of salads, flavor-packed marinade or glaze. Quick, easy homemade dressing – so delicious you’ll say goodbye to bottled dressing!
I make a lot of Greek themed recipes but until today, I haven’t shared my Greek Salad Dressing recipe. It’s nothing like the stuff in bottles you’ll find at the grocery store. It’s better. Way better – with just a few simple ingredients.
Of course it’s just what your Greek Salad needs but it’s also delicious over a garden salad as well. I’m also a fan of it as a marinade and last week I added a tablespoon of plain yogurt to the dressing and discovered another type of marinade for grilled chicken!
I’m not sure where where my obsession for Greek food started. Maybe it was after so many trips to Greektown one of my favorite areas of Detroit. The aromas are amazing but let’s face it – it’s the food that keeps me coming back and inspiring me to make these dishes at home.

how do i use this dressing?
Of course, a classic Greek Salad is an obvious choice, but there’s so much more you can do with this recipe.
- Marinate Chicken Kabobs
- Pioneer Woman’s Greek Salad
- Greek Pasta Salad
- Garden Salad
- Chickpea Cucumber Tomato Salad
What’s in a Greek Salad?
Here’s what I like in mine:
- Romaine lettuce
- Tomatoes (whatever your favorite variety)
- Feta cheese (a must!)
- Red onion
- Cucumbers
- Kalamata olives
- Chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
If you’re a fan of beets, you can certainly add them as well. This dressing will make the salad. Drizzle it over the top then give the salad a light sprinkle of salt and fresh cracked black pepper.
