Lightly sweet Strawberry Bread is an easy quick bread that doesn’t require yeast or kneading.
It takes advantage of the abundant crop of strawberries from Florida and all the juicy strawberries we’ll be picking soon locally.

INGREDIENTS IN THIS FRESH STRAWBERRY BREAD RECIPE:
- granulated sugar
- brown sugar
- milk
- vegetable oil
- egg
- plain Greek yogurt
- vanilla extract
- all purpose flour
- baking soda
- salt
- ripe strawberries
CREAM CHEESE GLAZE:
- cream cheese
- butter softened to room temp
- milk
- confectioners (powdered) sugar
- vanilla
HOW TO MAKE THIS DELICIOUS STRAWBERRY BREAD:
Blend the wet ingredients together then combine with dry ingredients.
Grease a loaf pan (or line with parchment paper) and set it aside.
In a small bowl gently toss the chopped strawberries with flour to coat them and prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the batter.
Pour the bread batter into the prepared pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until it’s golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
HOW TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE:
While the bread cools, whisk the glaze ingredients together.
Remove bread from the pan onto a wire rack and drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour divided
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 cups fresh strawberries diced
Cream Cheese Glaze
- 2 ounces cream cheese softened to room temp
- 1 tablespoon butter softened to room temp
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees then grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan and set aside.
- Dice strawberries then toss with 1/4 cup of the flour then set aside.
- In a medium bowl blend flour, sugars, salt and baking powder.
- To a large bowl, add eggs, oil, vanilla and yogurt. Add flour mixture a little at a time until combined then add strawberries stirring just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Glaze:
- Blend cream cheese, butter (both softened to room temperature), milk, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Remove bread from the pan onto a wire rack and drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread.
A wonderful treat. Great with coffee or your favorite after dinner beverage. I spread a little butter on mine as an added treat.
