  • 1 large packaged naan flatbread
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 ½ cups of red onion very thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 ounces of garlic-herb goat cheese room temp
  • 2 ounces of fresh mozzarella hand torn
  • 2 slices of prosciutto hand torn
  • bottled balsamic glaze

  • Slice the onions as thinly as possible.
  • Add the olive oil and butter to a skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the onion slices, stirring to coat them.
  • After they’ve cooked several minutes, season with salt and pepper and the brown sugar, again stirring to coat.
Continue cooking until the onions are browned and caramelized, stirring occasionally and spreading them out in the skillet. When the onions are caramelized, lower the heat and add the balsamic vinegar, cooking another 2-3 minutes.
  • Using a rolling pin and roll the naan flatbread a little thinner starting from the center and working out then transfer the flatbread to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread a layer of goat cheese onto the naan flatbread and top with the caramelized onions, prosciutto and mozzarella.
Bake at 400° 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Drizzle a tablespoon or two of balsamic glaze over the top of the pizza, slice and serve warm,.
