Calories:
- 1 wheel brie cheese If possible get the brie in a box - it'll help brie hold its shape after air frying
- 1/3 cup fig jam or preserves
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1# cup pecans use whole, chopped OR candied pecans
- parchment paper
- 3-4 small sprig fresh rosemary optional garnish
- 3-4 tablespoons pomegranate seeds optional garish
Fig Jam
Add the jam (preserves), butter, balsamic vinegar to a small saucepan over medium to medium low heat.
Simmer until the butter is melted then add nuts and give it all a good stir to combine.
Air Frying Brie:
Preheat the air fryer to 350°.
Remove the plastic from the brie. If it came in a box, place the brie into the bottom of the box. Dischard the lid.
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper then place the brie (in its box) into the center of the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 6 minutes. To check for doneness, gently press your finger into the center of the brie. It should gently give when it’s done. Don’t overcook the brie or it’ll be rubbery. If your brie doesn’t have a soft give, air fry another minute and recheck.
Use the parchment paper to carefully lift the brie from the air fryer basket. Remove the sides of the box (they’ll give way after after air fryer) then transfer the brie to a serving platter, plate or board.
Spoon the fig jam/nut topping over the top of the brie cheese then serve right away.
NOTE: see body of post for how to air fry brie wrapped in puff pastry.
