Best Taco Seasoning
Easy 5 minute recipe for homemade Taco Seasoning WITHOUT sugar, additives or preservatives. Use simple pantry staples.

- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion power
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- pinch red pepper flakes OR ground cayenne pepper OPTIONAL for more heat
Add ingredients to a small bowl or jar with a lid. Stir well or shake vigorously to combine.
Use 3 tablespoons of this taco seasoning for 1 pound of ground beef, chicken or taco (or more to your taste).
After browning your meat, blend in a little water, stock or tomato sauce to help distribute the seasoning evenly and create a saucier texture.
Use spicy, hot or Mexican-style chili powder for a spicier mix.
There's about 3 tablespoons of taco seasoning in one store bought package.
