Whipped Cream:
2cupsheavy creamchilled
1/2cuppowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
Cupcakes:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake tin with foil type liners.
To a large mixing bowl, blend cake mix, melted butter, milk, egg whites and vanilla extract using a hand mixer on low speed 2 minutes then increase speed for 3 more minutes.
Divide cake batter in cupcake tin to about 2/3 full. Bake 12-16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool slightly on a wire rack.
Milk Mixture:
In another medium bowl, blend heavy cream, evaporated milk. sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Use the blunt end of a skewer and poke several deep holes into each cupcake (don’t poke into the liners!). Carefully spoon 2-3 tablespoons of milk mixture over each cupcake letting it seep in.
Refrigerate cupcakes at least an hour up to overnight for best flavor.
Whipped Cream:
Just before serving use a hand mixer to whip heavy cream, sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.Spoon or pipe over the top of each cupcake add a sliced strawberry and eat right away.
Notes
Use foil type liners so the milk doesn't seep through.Refrigerate cupcakes overnight for best flavor before adding whipped cream.
