Whipped Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey - easy 5 minute appetizer - serve with toasted baguette for dipping!

Ingredients
HOT HONEY:
1/4cuphoney
1/2teaspooncrushed red pepper (red chili flakes)or more to taste
1/2tablespoonapple cider vinegar
pinchsalt
WHIPPED RICOTTA:
15ounceswhole milk ricotta
2tablespoonsfresh squeezed lemon juiceAND zest from whole lemon
2tablespoonsolive oilplus more for drizzling
1/4teaspoonsaltor more to taste
GARNISH IDEAS:
Choose ONE or TWO: pomegranate seeds, crushed pistachios or other nuts, a pinch of coarse sea salt, cracked black pepper, fresh thyme or other herbs, seasonal fruit such as figs or blackberries.
Instructions
HOT HONEY
Add honey and crushed red pepper flakes to a small saucepan.
Simmer 2 minutes then remove from the heat and stir in the vinegar. Cool to room temp and set aside.
WHIPPED RICOTTA:
Add ricotta, 2 tablespoons olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest and salt to a food processor or blender.
Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust for salt then transfer to a serving bowl or small plate.
Drizzle olive oil and as much of the hot honey as you'd like over the top.
Garnish then serve with sliced toasted baguette, crusty bread, fresh vegetables, pita chips or pita bread.
