Best Caramel Apple Dip
Easy dessert or appetizer - lightly sweetened cream cheese layer topped with caramel sauce and crunchy chocolate toffee bits. Scoop with sliced apples. Easy recipe - just 4 ingredients!
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American
Servings: 8
Calories:
- 8 ounce block cream cheese softened to room temp
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Marzetti caramel dip or more to taste (can swap caramel sauce)
- 1/2 cup Heath Chocolate English Toffee Bits or more to taste
- Optional: light sprinkle of flaky sea salt
To a medium bowl, add softened cream cheese. Whip using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract then spread evenly into a shallow bowl or baking dish.
Drizzle caramel over the top then sprinkle with toffee bits. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate until party time. NOTE: serve the dip at room temp so it’s dippable.
Optional – add a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt to finished dip. Serve with sliced apples, pears, pretzels, pretzel flats or graham crackers.
NOTES:
- I tested both Marzetti caramel dip and Ghiradelli caramel sauce. Marzetti is a little thicker than caramel sauce – but either work well.
- If you can't find English Toffee Bits buy a couple of Heath candy bars, add to a zip top bag and crush using a rolling pin or mallet.
- Sub mini chocolate chips or nuts for toffee bits.
