Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • Christmas tree cookie cutter

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce refrigerated crescent dough sheet
  • 2 cups finely chopped fresh vegetables broccoli, carrots, bell peppers used
  • 1 cup hummus
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees then line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle flour on a smooth surface then unroll the dough. Using a rolling pin, press gently until the piece of dough is uncurled and an even shape.
  • Cut Christmas tree shapes with a cookie cutter to form the pizza crust, rerolling the dough to get as many trees as possible (number will vary with the size of the cookie cutter).
  • Carefully transfer the trees to the prepared baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven then transfer the trees to a wire rack and cool completely before adding any toppings.
  • Finely chop the vegetables then toss together for a confetti look.
  • Spread 1 heaping teaspoon of the hummus mixture on each tree then add a sprinkle of vegetables. Loosely tent with aluminum foil then refrigerate at least 15 minutes before eating.
