Easy Christmas Popcorn

The ultimate sweet-savory holiday snack mix. Quick and easy - uses bagged popcorn -plus white chocolate, milk chocolate, M&M’s, mini pretzels and a shower of festive sprinkles.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 cups pre-popped bagged popcorn salted, no butter
  • 10 ounces white choolate candy melts Ghiradelli used
  • 9 ounce red/green holiday M&M's peanut butter used (any variety works)
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
  • 1 cup milk chocolate candy melts Ghiradelli used
  • 2-3 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
  • parchment paper for easy clean up

Instructions

  • Spread popcorn on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Add white candy melts to a medium size microwave safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds, stir and heat another 30 seconds or until the candy is melted and can be easily stirred smooth.
  • Drizzle half of the white chocolate over the popcorn. Add M&M’s and pretzels then give it a gentle stir to combine. Pour the remaining white chocolate over the popcorn and gently stir again until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  • Melt milk chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring until the candy is melted and smooth.
  • Transfer milk chocolate to a quart size ziplock bag or piping bag. Snip a small corner of the bag and drizzle chocolate over the popcorn. Immediately add sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
  • Cool on the baking sheet on the counter so the chocolate hardens. Break into chunks and add to bowls or a Christmas tin.
