Makes TWO Margaritas:
- ¾ cup grapefruit juice
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- 2 ounces triple Sec
- 3 ounces tequila silver or blanco
- 1-3 tablespoons simple syrup or to taste
- 1 lime cut in wedges
Margaritas for 8:
- 3 cups grapefruit juice
- 1 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 cup triple Sec
- 1 ½ cups tequila silver or blanco
- 1/2-3/4 cup cup simple syrup or to taste
- 1 lime sliced
- sliced grapefruit for garnish optional
Margaritas:
Run the juicy part of a lime wedge around the top rim of the glasses. Add coarse salt to a shallow bowl or plate then dip the rim of the glass into the salt until it’s coated with salt then set aside.
Blend the grapefruit juice, tequila, lime juice and Cointreau (or Triple Sec) in a cocktail shaker for a small batch or pitcher if you’re making a large batch.
Taste then add the simple syrup one tablespoon at a time until you’ve reached your desired sweetness, tasting after each tablespoon.
Fill the prepared glasses with ice then pour in the Grapefruit Margarita mixture. Garnish with a lime or grapefruit wedge then serve right away.
