Shredded Buffalo Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2-2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, thighs or a combo
  • 3/4 cup Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce or your favorite buffalo sauce
  • 3 tablespoos butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 package Hidden Valley dry ranch seasoning
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Place raw chicken in slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Whisk buffalo sauce and ranch dressing mix together in a large measuring cup or bowl then pour over the top of the chicken.
  • Turn chicken to coat both sides then dot with pats of butter. 
  • Cover and cook on HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-5 hours or until the chicken is fork tender (but not mushy). Cooking time will vary with the size of chicken pieces.
  • Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred using 2 forks – OR – add to food processor using the ‘dough’ attachment. Pulse several times to the desired consistency then return shredded chicken to the slow cooker. Stir until well combined.
