- It’s grown up trail mix – salty, spicy and irresistible.
- The perfect snack with a cocktail or glass of wine.

How to make Buffalo Ranch Snack Mix:
In a large bowl (microwavable) add Chex, Cheez-Its, Goldfish, nuts and Melba toast then give it a gentle stir.
To a small microwavable bowl, add butter and Worcestershire sauce. Micro on HIGH 30 seconds or until the butter is melted. Stir in buffalo sauce and package of ranch mix until well combined.
Pour the sauce over the cereal mixture then gently stir being sure to scoop everything from the bottom so all the pieces are completely coated.
Microwave uncovered on HIGH 6 minutes, pausing to stir every 2 minutes.
Remove the cereal mixture from the microwave, spread it on a baking sheet in an even layer. Cover loosely with paper towel to cool, then store in an airtight container.
Tips and frequently asked questions:
Can I use different varieties of Chex cereal? Yes – any flavor of Chex cereal works well.
Is Buffalo Ranch Snack Mix spicy? I’d call it ‘medium’ heat level. For extra heat, add cayenne pepper.
Can I make the flavors even more intense? Sure! Increase both the buffalo sauce and ranch seasoning.
How long does this snack mix last? Stored in an airtight container at room temp, it’ll last about 1 week, but it’s so good it’ll be eaten long before that.

This looks perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Can’t wait to try it!
Hey Melissa – definitely a great snack to put out for the holidays and so simple kids can even make it! 🙂 Enjoy!
I think there is an error in the ingredient list. The last 2 items…should it simply be one packet ranch dressing mix?
Hi Joyce – you’re spot on! Thanks for the extra set of eyes. I corrected the error – and yes – just one packet. Enjoy the day. – Bernie
I love the addition of Franks hot sauce. I add even the substations and double the sauce. I mix it all in a small garbage bag it’s much easier than trying to stir it. I don’t nul it either I put it in the oven at 350 for 45 min then cool completely on towels. BEST RECIPE EVER!!!
Hi Tammy – THANK YOU!! Absolutely GENIUS idea with the garbage bag! Glad you enjoyed the recipe – and I appreciate you taking the time to comment — Bernie
