This mixed berries burst with flavor from a triple berry blend – sweet strawberries, juicy blueberries, and tangy raspberries tossed in a bowl with a squeeze of lemon juice (and optional lemon zest) and a splash of vanilla extract.
The crisp topping is a blend of oats, brown sugar, flour and melted butter for a crispy oat crust and sweet juicy berries underneath.
How to make Triple Berry Crisp:
Preheat grill or oven to 350°F then butter a cast iron skillet or oven-safe baking dish and set it aside.
Add the berries to a medium bowl, slicing strawberries so all the fruit is about the same size. Sprinkle sugar on the berry mixture then add lemon juice and corn starch. Gently combine then transfer the fruit to the prepared skillet.
Melt the butter in a medium size microwave safe bowl then add the flour, oats, sugar, butter, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Stir until a crumbly topping forms.
Using your hands, sprinkle the topping over the berries. Cover the skillet with aluminum foil then grill 15 minutes over medium heat.
Remove the foil from the skillet and continue grilling 7-10 more minutes or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling. ice bubbling (total grill time 20-25 minutes).

Skillet OR 8x8 Baking Dish:
- 1/2 tablespoon butter to grease the skillet or baking dish
The Berries:
- 5 to 5 1/2 cups fresh mixed berries any combination strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
- 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
The Brown Sugar-Oat Topping:
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old fashioned oats (not quick cooking)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
Instructions
GRILLING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 350°) then butter the skillet and set it aside.
- Slice strawberries then add all berries to a medium size bowl.
- Sprinkle the sugar, lemon juice and corn starch over the berries and gently combine then transfer the fruit to the prepared skillet.
- Melt the butter in a medium size microwave safe bowl then add the flour, oats, sugar, butter, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. The mixture should be crumbly.
