Sea Breeze Cocktail ~ grapefruit juice, cranberry juice and vodka with a squeeze of fresh lime. It’s the ultimate summer cocktail and as refreshing as its name.
I didn’t invent this recipe – apparently it’s been around awhile but I tasted for the first time it last Sunday when I was out with friends. Whether it was the cocktail, sitting outside in the sun under a bright blue sky or the friends around me, it felt like vacation.
The recipe is tailored to my preferences: tangy, lightly sweet, with just enough alcohol to be dangerous. Bring on the Sea Breeze Cocktail. Cheers!
What is a Sea Breeze Cocktail?
A Sea Breeze Cocktail is a light refreshing cocktail made with just 4 ingredients:
- Grapefruit juice
- Cranberry juice
It practically begs to be consumed during warm, summer months and is ridiculously easy to make. You can squeeze your own grapefruit juice but if you have a brand you like that tastes like fresh-squeezed, go ahead and use it.
This cocktail comes with a warning: it goes down easily. Very easily. Consider yourself warned.
I like mine heavier on the grapefruit juice, lighter on cranberry for the ideal balance of tangy and sweet. It’s easy to adjust the recipe to your own taste.
