These Christmas Tree Pizzas are the easy, healthy holiday appetizer recipe you’ve been searching for.
You’ve probably had cold veggie pizza with cream cheese. Mini 2-bite holiday tree pizza is my take on that recipe using hummus instead of cream cheese. Prepare to be OBSESSED!

Why I love this recipe:
- Delicious, festive appetizer – feels indulgent – with a healthy kick.
- Easy to make this edible holiday decoration.
- Versatile – make using different shapes for other holidays.

Ingredients in Christmas Tree Pizza:
- refrigerated crescent dough sheet
- fresh finely chopped vegetables (broccoli, shredded carrots, multi colored bell peppers used)
- hummus (your favorite store brand or try my homemade hummus)
- all purpose flour
- parchment paper
- Christmas tree shape cookie cutter
How to make Christmas Tree Pizza:
Pre heat oven to 375 degrees then line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Sprinkle flour on a smooth surface then unroll dough. Gently press edges of dough with a rolling pin to uncurl it.

Use a cookie cutter to cut trees from the dough to form the crust, rerolling the dough to get as many trees as possible (number will vary with the size of the cookie cutter).
Transfer the trees to the baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown (bake time may vary with ovens and exact thickness of trees).

Transfer baked trees to a wire rack and cool completely before adding toppings.
While the trees are cooling, finely chop the vegetables then toss together for a confetti look.

Spread 1 heaping teaspoon of the hummus mixture on each tree then add a sprinkle of vegetables.
Loosely tent with aluminum foil then refrigerate at least 15 minutes before serving.
Variation to this recipe:
Sub cream cheese instead of hummus. Blend the following:
- cream cheese
- sour cream
- dry dill weed
- dry ranch seasoning
Tips for the best pizza:
- Parchment paper lined baking sheet – keeps trees from sticking and cleanup is easy!
- Finely chop or shred vegetables so there aren’t any chunks.
- Refrigerate the trees before serving to let all the flavors come together.
Subs and variations:
- Use herb cream cheese instead of ranch seasoning.
- Substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Add crumbled feta to the cream cheese mixture.
- Try green pepper or other vegetables.
- Use pesto sauce instead of cream cheese or hummus.
How to store leftovers:
Leftover Christmas Tree Pizza can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 3 days.
